The bass section is handled by a 5" long-expansion bass-reflex driver to optimise the low-frequency bandwidth. The high end of the spectrum is The sound is reproduced by a coaxially integrated dome tweeter, perfectly aligned with the bass driver. The result is a particularly linear phase response. This particular set-up, used by APG since 1990, gives the iX5 a conical acoustic opening of 105° that is maintained beyond 10 kHz. The iX5 is characterised by its small dimensions and limited weight. Its sonic performance, particularly its low-frequency bandwidth, makes it very similar to a studio loudspeaker, with superior efficiency and power handling. The iX5 has an impedance of 16 ohms. It can also be integrated into 70/100V line systems using a transformer. 50W option (option T50). Ergonomic, the iX5 offers all the functions and options required for fixed indoor installation: format Discreet cubic design, Phoenix flush-mount connectors, 3/8 metal inserts for use on microphone stands. M8 metal inserts enable it to be mounted using a dedicated lyre. Reference IX5W is the white version. The iX5 can also be customised in colour - IX5COL.
