The bass section is entrusted to an 8" long-expansion bass-reflex driver, optimising the low-frequency bandwidth. The high end of the spectrum is delivered by an integrated 1" compression chamber motor coaxial and therefore perfectly aligned physically with the loudspeaker of the bass. The result is a particularly linear phase response. This set-up APG has been doing this since 1990, giving the iX8 M2 a unique acoustic cone of 100° maintained beyond 10kHz. The APG iX8 M2 loudspeaker is is characterised by its anti-diffraction baffling, which gives it a very high excellent phase linearity. The result is a conical directivity virtually constant. The iX8 M2 is characterised by its ratio of SPL level to size. combined with high-precision sound reproduction quality over its entire useful band. The iX8 M2 has an impedance of 8 ohms. It can can also be integrated into 70/100V line type systems using a optional 100W transformer (option T100). Ergonomically designed, the iX8 M2 offers all the functions and options for fixed indoor installation : aesthetic trapezoidal format, Speakon-type connectors, M10 inserts for fixing a baseplate for installation on a stand and metal inserts M8 connectors for mounting with a range of accessories for horizontal, vertical or tilt adjustment.
